Timing Evolution of Pulsars

Rotating neutron stars otherwise known as "pulsars" exhibit very precise spin rates. Over time the measured spin of pulsars will change. By analyzing the timing evolution of pulsars we are able to put constraints on neutron star dynamics and structure.

Thermal Properties of Soft X-Ray Transients in Low Mass X-ray Binaries

Low mass x-ray binary systems containing a neutron star release x-ray bursts when matter from an accretion disk falls onto the surface of the neutron star. By studying how the star cools we can further constrain structure of neutron stars.
