Astronomy and Astrophysics research requires a wide variety of knowledge of many other fields such as physics, mathematics, statistics, data science, etc. Here, through a series of videos, I share some of the knowledge I have acquired that has helped me in my understanding of topics that have helped my in my own personal astronomy and astrophysics research.

Linear Algebra

Ideas from the field of Linear Algebra appear all the time in computational research work from the fields of applied mathematics, physics, and engineering to biology, sociology, and Earth science.
This series explores how the ideas of linear algebra apply to computational methods and modeling.

NICER data reduction and analysis

NICER is the Neutron Star Interior Composition ExploreR. This is one of the newest missions with HEASARC having launched in 2017. It is a revolutionary mission that is providing more and more discoveries about neutron stars. To be able to get those discoveries though we need to be able to properly work with the data it provides us.

Quantum Mechanics

Quantum Mechanics is one of the most studied and talked about theories in physics for a reason. We don’t know the limitations of quantum mechanics, and we can use it to explain so many things in our physical universe. To be able to study the universe effectively we need to understand quantum mechanics and be able to utilize it exploring and explaining our universe.
